I’m a big fan of the new DC Comics relaunch. I think the work Rags Morales has been doing has been especially great. The thing I don’t understand is why there’s such a back lash. Comics have grown because DC and Marvel have taken chances in the artists. They’ve gotten traditional guys, then swapped them with more radical guys like Frank Miller and Todd McFarlane. When the art matures, so does the appeal.
Story telling is the same way. We can tell the DC Universe story in several different ways, and it stays interesting. It’s all about it being interesting. Marvel took their characters to 2021, to a zombie universe, and the unlimted world. Why shouldn’t DC Comics try the same thing?
I’m personally looking forward to the new, more modern stories.
